I'm assuming you're referring to the toolbars on the top of the Word screen (the taskbar is the Windows 'stripe' across the bottom).
What version of Word and can you describe what you mean about the clipart (i.e. is it clipart you load through the Taskpane and is
there nothing there, or placeholders, or are you using Insert=>Picture=>From File - for example)?
If pre-Word 2007 if you use Tools=>Customize=>Options and turn on the show full menus are your buttons back (the toolbars default to
moving items you don't frequently used to the right side, under the down pointing arrow).
