where is the pasteboard in Mirosoft publisher?

In my foundations in creative arts class in college we are all struggling to
find the pasteboard in ms publisher for course work purposes not even the
little animated office helper could help us. So if anyone can help with
imformation on where on ms publisher the pasteboard can be found please let
me know soon ....

It is the scratch area around the publication screen.
