Where to backup Outlook PST files on Windows Server 2008

We do not have an Exchange Server at this time. I do want to back up the
outlook.pst file containing the contacts, etc for each user. I do know that
the PST files do not work with redirection.

On one side I see the Network Stored PST files ... don't do it! at
http://blogs.technet.com/askperf/archive/2007/01/21/network-stored-pst-files-don-t-do-it.aspx.
In my case the best answer seems to be use the pkbackup from Microsoft and
create the necessary folders on the server to receive the backup files. On
the other side, I am being told by the local network company that they been
told by Microsoft to store the pst files on the network.

If I were backing up to a network folder, I'd just use a batch or script and
copy the folder location to the server. Outlook needs closes - that can be
done by the script.

What I did is to create a folder on the Server called Email Backup, gave
users access, installed pkbackup on each user computer and set the pkbackup
to backup to the user's folder in the Email Backup folder.
