an someone tell me if and where I can get Office 2007 Enterprise
updates without going through the MS Update site at
http://www.update.microsoft.com ??

I am trying to update a friends Office installation and he has it set
to JUST show Windows update and does not want to change it so PLEASE
PLEASE could someone tell me if there is someplace else I can get the
updates?? I do not know why he does not want to use the MS Update
site but it is their box so I am trying to find the updates someplace.

I know that someone is going to give me reasons to use the MS Update
site instead of answering the question but I would greatly appreciate
just an answer to the question.

Thanks so much.

The reason the person doesn't want to update using Microsoft Update is that
the Enterprise version is probably pirated. Now why would we want to tell
you how to assist someone pirating software?

If this was a "legal" purchase of Enterprise then you could obtain the
updates from Office Download
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/CD100602001033.aspx but if it is
pirated then these downloads probably won't install either.

Service packs, security updates, and product fixes can always be downloaded
via Microsoft Downloads.

The downside to not using the automated tools is that you have to know what
you are after.

Not knowing if you can perform a remote scan of the device in question,
Microsoft's Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) 2.1 might help you identify
the updates needed.
