How do I work out which file my Outlook is using? I know it can read diret
from the server but can also store locally. How do I know which one is being
used?

Thanks

You can check out your messaging profile here: Control Panel > Mail applet
to see what data files may be in use.

Hmmmm, right click on the root of your folder list in Outlook, choose
Properties then click Advanced. That should reveal the file name

If you have a native Outlook icon on your desktop (not a shortcut),
right-click, Properties, Data Files.

Thanks

All I get is the name of the server and the name of the mailbox, both of
which I know anyway.

Ah ha... in that case there's no local file to worry about since you're
using an Exchange Server mailbox.
