Which Office Version

My daughter has a 400 Mhz AMD computer with 2 hard drives. It has 384 megs
of ram and plenty of HD space.

She is presently using Office 97 but thinks she needs an update for use in
conjunction with her college courses. A new Laptop for her is not in the
works right now.

Her college has Office 2000 as their standard.

Will her setup handle Office 2000 without too much strain? She can probably
buy the academic version through her college.

Hi and thanks for the info. Forgot to mention that I had set up her machine
with Windows ME (clean install).
