Which to buy?

I am about to start self-learning (through "dummy" books and the like)
web-design so that I can start and create and run my own web-site.

I've narrowed the decision down to two: Microsoft Frontpage 2003 and
Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.

I've crossposted this new topic to two newsgroups that discuss each of
these programs.

Which do you think is best in terms of the following criteria (and I
thank you all in advance for your input):

1) Ease in learning (I'm not a genius but, yes, I am reasonably
computer literate!).

2) Value for dollar. I can get a used Microsoft Frontpage 2003 on ebay
for about $100.00 without documentation and a Macromedia Dreamweaver 4
for about 50.00 without documentation.

3) How important is the documentation that comes with a full retail
purchase? I figure since I'm going to get one of those learning books,
the documentation is not that important...am I right?

4) compatibility with servers...I ask this because someone mentioned
that some servers don't handle Frontpage well (something to do wtih
something called "webbot"?)

5) How much should I expect to pay per month for a server that will let
me post my web-site on them? any suggestions for one?
