While saving excel file, excel gets shutdown by giving error

Hi,

I am a technical support person in my company.
We are using office 2003 professional edition and one of the user is using a
shared excel from network path.
The excel is read-only. User trying to edit and save it in another location.
It popups the following message and closes all the opened excel.

"Microsoft office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are
sorry for the inconvenience.
the information you are were working on might be lost. Microsoft office xcel
can try to recoverit for you.
Recover my work and restart Microsoft Office Excel"

The recover option comes with check box. If i select check box or unchek
that excel gets close.
Every time this happens to the user.
Tried by re-installing office 2003, still no go..

Please help me out in fixing this issue.
