Who Has a Good Email Host for Outlook?

I want to sign on with a good solid, free email host that connects well with
Outlook. I do not want all the host services that everybody (Yahoo, Hotmail,
Live.com, etc) has moved to. I don't want my emails, contacts, calendar
stored on their host - I have Outlook for that. I would like to be able to
sign in to a Webmail type service to read/send emails when using somebody
else's PC.

Currently Bellsouth provides exactly what I want, but we are probably moving
out of their service area, therefore the desire to establish a universal
service rather than depend on a local service.

Can anybody recommend a good service that provides this level of service?

Sorry, but unless you PAY for the service, you'll have to use one of teh
known services offering free Outlook connectivity. Hotmail and gmail are
the most common. Nothing about any of the services you name REQUIRES you to
keep your contacts, mail, and calendar on their server, but unless you leave
the mail on the server, you CANNOT use a webmail interface to log in and
read anything you've received up to that point.

Bellsouth likely uses Yahoo as the underlying service, just like most of the
other Baby Bells.

gmail would likely be your best bet.
