why are attachments saving to desktop upon opening?

Recently, every time I open an attachment within an email, it is
automatically saving the attachment to my desktop.
Does anyone know how to stop this?

Outlook doesn't automatically extract and save attachments in e-mails.
YOu have a 3rd party add-on doing that. You'll have to go into that
add-on's configuration to determine where is the default path where it
will save the attachments.
