why are my Yahoo! e-mails repeated many times in Outlook?

When I transfered my Yahoo! e-mails to Outlook, all the e-mails are repeated
many times in the Outlook page taking up a lot of the hardisc memory space.

It is very tedious to delete the redundant ones.

Why is this happening and how can I overcome this problem?
