Why are some JPGs not printing correctly in 2003 Word/Publisher?

JPGs that used to print correctly in 2000 versions of Word and Publisher are
not printing correctly in 2003 versions. It doesn't happen with all JPGs. -
some are printing just fine. In example, one JPG that is mostly blue is
printing out in peach. I disabled spooling on the printer - that didn't
solve the problem. Any ideas? Is the JPG too large? It's 600 dpi. I can
print it from a 2003 Word or Publisher doc to Adobe then print on printer and
it prints fine. I know problem is with 2003 Word & Publisher but don't know
how to fix it.

I had contacted HP, the printer manufacturer, already and asked if i should
install new drivers. They said that is not the problem as I am able to print
the same JPG in Adobe without issues. They suggested I reinstall 2003 Office
but it came loaded on my laptop. I also contacted the person that designed
the logo that is in the JPG and they are saying it's an Office issue as well.

Any other ideas?

Did you investigate the driver availability? It will be on the HP web site. If
you talked to a HP tech, he/she may not know a newer driver is available.

Deskjet?
You cannot print photos to HP DeskJet printers from Publisher 2002 or from
Publisher 2003

I have a similar problem to you and have entered it as a recent question as I
wasn't sure whether I should reply or put in as a new Qn. So if we both keep
an eye on replies to either, hopefully we might get a solution.
