When a make a ascii-character with the alt+number key in a excel-cell,
then is the character not the same as in a Word-sheet.

From where the difference between this both applications.

What do you mean by ASCII? Technically, ASCII only spans decimal character codes
0 to 127, and only decimal character codes 32 to 126 have specified visible
representations. I'd be VERY surprised if decimal char codes 32 to 126 differed
at all between Excel and Word.

As for other character codes, Excel is screwy, but so is Windows. [Alt]+0,1,2,8
gives € but [Alt]+1,2,8 gives Ç on my system. I don't know for sure, but I
suspect one is ANSI and the other Windows. Anyway, if you're getting different
characters in Excel and your keying 3 or fewer numerals with the number keypad,
try adding leading zeros so you're always keying 4 numerals.
