Why can I no longer add scrolling text, sound, or a movie in Word?

When I try to add sound, scrolling text, or a movie to a Word document, I get
an error message. Is this related to a Windows XP Professional Update?

I believe this is true, and Windows Update might have patch to account for
the problem by design. If not the Microsoft Office Knowledge Base most likely
has a "How to" article with instructions to work around it.

See “Application is not available†error messages when you try to insert
some Web Tools in Word 2002 and Word 2003 at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886299. These features were removed (by a
Windows patch) for security reasons.
