Why can I only get As one object in chart animations?

For some reason I can not get anything other than "As one object" in the
Group Chart box on the Chart Animation tab in the Effect options. Anybody
know what the problem might be here? I'm using PowerPoint 2002 and it is up
to date with service pack 3 and such.

It's just a basic 3D column chart. I had no problem doing this in PowerPoint
2000 but for some odd reason it isn't giving me the options now in 2002...
