Why cannot I pack with viewer?

I have PP2002. I have installed ppviewer2003 to view effects such as fade etc. But in some reason I cannot package my presintation with ppviewer2003. The option "Include viewer" in package wizard is unavaliable. Is ppviewer2003 only for viewing? Or I can pack with it in some way?

Pack&Go is old and doesn't know about PPT Viewer 2003. You can use PPT
Viewer 97, but you'll have to install it.

Another job half done by Microsoft. And not publicized.

I see it quite differently, Walter. Software developers don't go back and
update all previous versions when the build a new feature in the latest
release. Similarly, when a car manufacturer develops a new and more
powerful engine, they don't come to your house and put a new engine in your
older model of the car.

Pack and Go will not be updated because it has been replaced with Package
for CD in PowerPoint 2003. If you want to use Pack and Go you get the old
Viewer. You don't have to upgrade to PowerPoint 2003 to make use of the new
Viewer, however. You can create your own CD or package and include the
files for the new Viewer. We also have a product that will do it for you -

No problem, Walter. Pack and Go was never my favorite. I've seen too many
people have problems with it.
