why cannot import/export my outlook address book?

the import/export button under file is showing grey
colour. I cannot import/export my address book. who can
help me?

That's because there is no address book in Outlook. That information is
stored in your Contacts folder, which you can import and export from the
File menu.

You may need to copy them to a contacts folder first.
What are you trying to do? what version are you using

Thanx. It works. But do u mean that outlook cannot export
to .WAB file? That will be very troublesome when I search
for contacts using access or excel. One more question, why
before I chose to use outlook, I can export address book
from outlook express but after I'm using outlook, even my
outlook express also cannot export address book? Thank you.

You cannot export directly to a WAB. If you want to export your Contacts to
OE, export to a CSV then import that into OE.
