Why can't I add a delegate?

I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I cannot add a
delegate to my account. We are both running the same versions of Outlook
2007.

Also, I have been able to add the other user's folder to my navigation pane,
but when I click on it to view the items, I get this message: "Cannot display
the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder
location. The operation failed. The object cannot be found."

Basically what I am trying to do is this: I have an email account set up
that works fine & dandy. Another account was set up that is going to be used
only for sending invoice requests. I need access to that "invoice" account
through my Outlook. I know there has got to be a way for me to view that
mailbox from my navigation pane.

I have tried searching everything that I can think of in the help pages, but
nothing comes close to resolving this issue.
