why can't I get PowerPoint

I have powerpoint installed in my computer which is a windows xp but when I
click on the powerpoint icon it asks me for the file name. Why can"t I access
my powerpoint?

Try going to your Start menu. Start > Microsoft Office > PowerPoint.

What happens here?
