Why can't I import ACT 2007 into BCM?

When I try to import my ACT! 2007 database into BCM, I get a message from the
Converter Utility saying that the file is not a valid database for the
selected version of ACT!. The file certainly appears to be a valid
database, as it works fine with ACT 2007.

Any idea what's going on here and how to get around it?

This version of BCM doesn't support ACT 2007 yet. They're working on it but
it's not ready. Some people have reported success in doing the conversion
but others can't get through it. You do have both ACT 2007 and BCM 2007
installed on the same PC, right? That's a requirement also...

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I actually have ACT! 2005, not 2007,
as I originally typed. I have BCM 2007 and ACT! 2005, which is supposed to
work.

Any additional thoughts?

I would try to clean up the ACT database using ACTDIAG. When BCM encounters
a corrupt or damaged ACT database, it will give out unhelpful errors. So,
that's where I would start.
