Why can't I open a password protected file (office 2000) with off.

I created a word document in office 2000 and password protected it , which
I know cannot open under office 2003. It tells me the password is incorrect
but i know it is correct.

Silly question but - are you sure? Did you try caps on/off?

I am sure and the caps lock is off
