Why can't I save a stencil with my Visio file?

I was working in a Visio file and opened another stencil file so I could add
those shapes to my drawings. However, when I close my Visio file and later
reopen it, I don't see the stencil file. How can I get the stencil to reopen
when I reopen the Visio file?

I'd look under "file saveas" and then make sure that save workspace is
checked.
