Why can't I save appointments anymore?

I can no longer save/modify appointments in Calendar. I've been using this
for a long time and the save capability just stopped. I get a message "Could
Not Save Item." I sync the calendar with a Palm and have had no problems in
the past. Any ideas?

Use the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) to see if that helps. If not, try a
new mail profile.
