Why can't I see my Contacts when I click on To or CC?

I've recently had my pc rebuilt and I'm now unable to see my Contacts when I
click on To in an email. My Contacts are all there in Contacts but a
Distribution List doesn't work as Outlook doesn't recognise the name! Does
anyone know what's gone wrong?

Assuming Outlook 2002 or 2003, since you didn't think it important to
mention your Outlook version.

Right-click the Contacts folder, choose Properties, then click the Outlook
Address Book tab. Check the "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book"
box. If you can't, click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Add a new directory or
address book>Next>Additional Address Books>Next. Select Outlook Address
Book and click Next, then Finish. Now you should be able to enable the
folder as an address book.
