Why cant I send different types of picture files to Microsoft Off.

I have pictures saved in a file. Some of the pictures are different file
types. Only some of the pictures will transfer over to Microsoft Office
Picture Manager. I cant figure out if I have to change the file type, which I
dont know how to do, and I dont even know if that is the answer. I cant cut
or copy and paste. I couldnt email it again and resave it. I need to know how
to get it from My Documents to Microsoft O. Picture Manager. Its like when I
tell it to look for pictures, the ones that wont transfer dont even show up
as existing. But if you are not browsing for photos you can find them. How do
I fix this? The ones that wont transfer seem to have the icon for a text
document next to it (Rectangle with blue in middle of white)
