Why can't I send/recieve e-mail when I delete my Yahho mail accou.

I currently have several E-Mail accounts set up with microsoft office outlook
2003.
Regardless of which account is selected to send an e-mail with, Outlook
sends it using my Yahoo Mail account.

I have tried deleted the Yahoo Mail account but outlook refuses to send any
e-mail while the Yahoo is not present.
