Why can't I use the right-click on my mouse to copy or paste.

I tried detecting for errors and reinstalling my MS Office XP (student),
checking for viruses and bugs, checking my options and I cannot use my mouse
to move around, or copy or paste in my Word documents. How can I fix this?

Possibly a mouse problem? Can you use the mouse in other apps?

Thank you for your reply, but I think i fixed the problem. It was not the
mouse, because I was able to use the mouse in other programs. I deleted my
normal.dot files, and reset some of the program options using the original
software. If that didn't work, I was going to try going into the registry
(fortunately, I didn't have to go that route!)
