Why delay to "configure" when new 2007 download opens existing fil

I downloaded Office 2007 Small Business a month ago, and experience repeated
delays while it "configures" any existing file I open(egm an older word or
excel document.) However it also shows the same configuration message and
delay EVERY time I open Word. This delay lasts at least a minute or two.
What to do?

Are you also running previous version of Office like Office 2003 or
Office 2000? If so, you need to read this article:
