why did sp2 remove the professional from the XP page?

SP2 rewrites approximately 5 million lines of code when installed.. one of
the decisions was to make the XP splash screen common to both versions, most
likely because it was easier to do that.. XP Home users not only see Home
disappear, but the little green torpedo that they would have grown to love
over time has now become Pro blue..
