Why do I get access violation messages regarding my new keyboard?

I just installed a new wireless keyboard. The keyboard works, but I get
irritating pop-up messages regarding an access violation. The heading of
these messages is Hotkey keyboard.

This is not caused by PowerPoint. Either post your question to a more
general computer forum or re-read the manual of the new keyboard or contact
the manufacturer.
