Probably because there is some part of Office 2000 on your system.

JoAnn, I need to know wha to do to get rid of the older updates without
losing the current one. I removed an earlier version of Streets and Trips
and my current 2005 version did not work. The system asked me to in stall a
disc to update at which time I did. I do not want to delete/remove the old
versions if I am going to have to re-install all the disks for all the newer
software. I do not have any trouble with the machine only that it is
annoying.
