why do i get security warning "ident.cab, publisher unknown" when.

when i try to check for office 2000 updates it gets to 40% and a security
warning pops up saying, " Microsoft Windows has found a problem with this
file;

Name: ident.cab
Publisher: unknown publisher

i was able to check for updates earlier but when i went back to see whatelse
i may need i keep getting the above messege.
