Why do I get web favorites as well as directories?

I can't find an answer to this, maybe it's so obvious it's never been
needed to be discussed...?

When I use the file open dialogue box in Excel and click on
'Favorites', as well as my favorite directories I get a list of my
favorite internet sites as well. This is really annoying me, is there
a way to only show directories?
