Tami

After pasting a link into one email now I have what appears to be little tags
hanging off all of my outgoing email messages. they are there while I am
composing but when viewed from the sent box they are not there. It is hard to
tell what i am typing with these "things hanging off of every word.

this is the strangest thing I have ever seen

My crystal ball says you are using word as your editor and have word
configured to show paragraph marks.... look for the backwards p toolbar icon
in word or when you are composing email and click it. you can also change it
from word's tools, options, view dialog.

Do you mean smart tags - http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/tags.htm ? they
should disappear after you move to the next word and only one tag at a time
displays.
