Why do I receive duplicates of emails in Outlook from server?

for some reason, all of a sudden, having difficulty downloading emails from
server and am also receiving duplicates?

I am going insane with the same problem which just began.....direction?

What version of Outlook do you have? What sort of difficulties are you
having with downloading? Any error messages? If so, what are they?
