Why do inline tables disappear when automaticallyshifting or resiz

Scenario: I have a parent table which contains a list of inline tables
arranged vertically in one of its cells.

Problem: Any time I perform an action that requires one of the inline tables
to shift position (ex. adding text above/below it) or automatically resize
(ex. adding text within it) the entire page layout disappears. I can cause
the layout to reappear by selecting to view the Master Page (View->Master
Page) then selecting to hide it.

Thank you.

Slide the acceleration down on your video adapter, control panel, display folder,
settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab...
If this solves your problem go to the manufacturer's web site of your graphics card
and look around for an updated driver.

Thank you for your response. I followed each of your suggestions closely,
but to no effect. Below are a list of steps I took.

Changes applied to the graphics adapter without rebooting:
- Reduced acceleration to "Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations..."
- Reduced acceleration to "Disable all curser and advanced drawing
accelerations..."
- Reduced acceleration to "Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D
accelerations..."
- Reduced acceleration to "Disable all but basic accelerations..."
- Reduced acceleration to "Disable all accelerations..."

Changes applied to the graphics adapter, followed by a reboot:
- Set acceleration to "Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations..."

I also checked my manufacturer's web site (Compaq) and my graphics drivers
are current.

I am using a Presario SR1135CL with a Via/S3G graphics adapter. You can
find more information on this model Presario at the following URL:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...areCategory&lc=en&product=421627&cc=us&os=228 .

If you would like me to email a Publisher file containing the scenario I
described, please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Again, thanks for the quick reply. Forgive me, but I did not install
RadarSync for the following reasons:

- It is not free after the trial.
- It is based in another country (Israel).
- The only means of contact is email.

Instead, I installed the latest driver from the manufacturer's web site
(Compaq). I did this, because though my driver version number matched that
shown on the web site, the release date on the site was more recent.
Installing the driver did not effect the problem.

But alas, I noticed a clue which suggests that the problem lies somewhere
other than the graphics adapter. When the page layout seemingly disappears,
I realized am actually in a far-flung region of the work area. Whereas I
started viewing the document in the upper left-hand corner (0,0) as indicated
by the horizontal and vertical rules, after adjusting the inline tables, I am
shown to be at (5664,4704).

Thank you for your continued help.

Under File->"Page Setup", this file has the value "Custom" under "Publication
type." It has a width of 700px and a height of 4608px. Its intended use is
as an email newsletter.

However, some of my printer settings are below:

(File->Print and click the Properties button)
Orientation: Portrait
Layout Options
Type: Multiple Pages per Side
Pages per Site: 1
Paper Options
Size: 8.5x11
Resolution: 600dpi

(File->Print and click the "Change Overlap" button)
Options
Print Entire Page: (selected)
Overlap Sheets: 24px

Thanks again.

That is one long newsletter. Have you tried to send it to yourself?
I don't know why you are losing your inline tables. I've tried all sorts of maneuvers
and I cannot duplicate your issue. Could it be this particular publication has become
corrupt somehow? Might setup a new publication, copy/paste all the objects into the
new document.

I wonder if it has to do with the tiling. I've never setup a page in this way, it
doesn't show two pages side by side on the screen, only in print preview.

Again, thanks so much for your help.

Would you like me to email the file to you? They say a Publisher file is
worth a thousand words.

Sure, I'd like to see it. Maybe I can get a clue on solving your problem.
