why do my attachments send as unopenable win.dat files?

I can't figure out why all my attachments are sent this way. I can receive
attachments okay. I usually send word docs or jpeg images.

Instead of using Rich Text format, send in either plain text or HTML formats
and no .dat files will be created.

Thanks for that advice. I changed my setting and pouf - problem solved.
