Why do my pictures get forwarded as an attachment?

When I forward an e-mail to someone that has been sent to me, and it has pictures in the body of the e-mail, when I forward that e-mail the pictures do not forward in the body the way I see it. The e-mail ends up being an e-mail with a ton of attachments instead of the pictures being in the body the way I see it. Is there a setting I need to change? I hope someone can help me with this. :?
