why do my pictures suddenly not appear in a browser after saving a

this has only recently started to happen . when i preview the web pagee in
Frontpage it appears ok. When I open the web page in my browser it does not
appear. Why?

Did you import the images into a currently open FP web / site prior to inserting them in your page?

yes I did and I've resolved the problem by saving them in a top level
directory on my site
