Why do my rules quit working in OL2003

Why do my rules quit working in OL2003? I set them up, they work for a while, then one day I notice they're no longer working? Specifically, I have a rule that copies all my sent mail to a "sent items" folder on my mail server (imap). Every once in a while, for no apparent reason that I can figure out, it stops copying them. The rule still shows up as listed in my rules list, and I have it applied to every single message. Any ideas?
