Why do you hide the real email address?

I am working for a company, and use exchange server. All email addresses are
just shown as names, even external ones. I need to know what the external
ones are. As long as I know the format of the internal ones EG
(e-mail address removed), I can figure them out.
The only time the external email addresses show up is when I reply to a
message.
Even then, I cannot capture them to even notepad. This is very primitive,
since using almost any other email software, even web based systems I can see
the real mail address and copy and paste it. Can you fix this?

You specified neither your Outlook version nor where it is you want to see
the email address.
All recent versions of Outlook display both the email address and familiar
name.
Even in those the don't, the email address is readily available by double
clicking the resolved familiar name.

Thanks for your prompt response. Outlook 2003 - Yes, If I double-click the
name it opens a pop-up window with the eMail address. Thanks, I can capture
them now, without timing, one at a time.
I wasn't aware you could do that. When I do a reply to an email, the full
address shows for all the people, however if I copy the address line and
paste it somewhere else, I just get the names. . .

Then I would guess that the field to which you are referring is the "Email
Display As" field. It's the one that show up in the most views. In Outlook
versions prior to Outlook 2002, that field showed only the familiar name.
After Outlook 2002 it shows both the familiar name and the actual email
address. I suspect the Contact records in your Contacts Folders were created
in versions prior to Outlook 2002. You can always edit the Email Display As
field directly if you want them changed. --
