Why does clicking a hyperlink in an HTML email fail?

If I click on a link in an incoming email I get a warning window "This
operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. Please see
system administrator"
This has only started this week. Previously it all worked OK. Any idea on
what may have chenged?

This means your default Internet browser is no longer properly registered as
the default in Windows. Either reset your default browser and/or reassign it
as the default in Windows. How? That all depends on your version of Windows
and your default Internet browser.
