I've just started using frontpage and it change my htlm codes from symbols,
ie. <,> , to code such as >, <.
How do I stop this, it makes my page code incredibly hard to read and update.
Thanks for any help.

If you are copying the code from somewhere, paste into notepad first, then into FP in HTML / Code
View.

You have to do that because FrontPage still has it's oddities. This
pasting problem should have been fixed a long time ago. I've learned to
work around it but it should not be necessary.

You can try the different Paste options.

I just find it easier to paste into notepad for any copied content that was not copied from a
location not within the web.
