Why does my e-mail recieve but not send?

I have checked all of my e-mail settings and checked each address from my
internet conection direct to the servers, and they work, but it I can't get
my e-mails to go out. The error keeps telling me that the connection with my
server was interupted.

I'm sure based on what you said, that you have done this but, are you
absolutely sure that your smtp setting for the affected email account is
exactly as your ISP displays it in your operating instructions? I assume
that we are talking about a POP account.

Try deleting the account and setting it up again. Let outlook send itself a
test message and see if you receive that.

Also, ensure that the smtp port is set set to 25 in the "more settings"
section on the affected email account and if there is a checkmark beside "My
outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" then remove the checkmark.

If you have any anti-virus software that's scanning your outgoing mail,
turn off that outgoing scanning. Many of these products seem to cause this
problem.
