Why does my email disappear from my inbox?

Why does my email disappear after about 2 weeks?? I want to be able to see my
old email everytime I open my inbox.
Please help.

Could it be that you have enabled AutoArchive?
Tools-> Options-> tab Other

more questions... server type, imap, pop, exchange?? is your inbox local or
on the server?? do you hae auto archiving enabled?? do you have a view
setting that hides old messages enabled??
