Why does my envelope get stuck in the printer?

I have a 10"x13" envelope that will print but never makes it to finish tray.
It jams in the printer. Is there a way to set thickness of the paper?

Not from Word. However, what size does Word think that the envelope is?
If Word does not think that it is as long as it is, maybe the instruction to
stop feeding the envelope through the printer is being given prematurely.
