Why does my Word 2003 lock up while I selec text to copy/paste?

My system locks up whenever I try to copy/paste from a Word document. This
problem does not occur elsewhere on my system. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled MS Office Pro 2003 several times to no avail. Is this a system
problem or an Office problem? Help, please. Thanks.

Usually, it is an outside utility causing this: most notably (for some
strange reason) are Bluetooth installations. You probably need to clean out
all those abandoned Temp files created by the Word lockups before
