Why does Office XP SP3 want me to Office Professional disk?

MS Update indicates my PC requires Office XP SP3. When going through the
install process, I get a window requesting I install Office Professional with
Publisher and Front Page 2002. The problem is that I only have Office XP
home edition. How do I get past this to finish the install of SP3?

In your Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet, uninstall the
version(s) of Office programs you do not use. Then MS Update will likely be
less confused about what to update.
