Why Does Outlook Delete The Street Address & Add United States Of.

C

Cashflow

So I entered all my contacts home addresses' and checked the box that says
"this is the mailing address" last week. Like this example:

5367 N. David Ct.
Modesto, CA
94506

But today when I opened my contacts, outlook has changed all my contacts
home addresses' to this:

Modesto, CA 94506
United States Of America

Where did the street address go to, and why did it add United States of
America? How can I correct this problem? Thanks!

You must post your Outlook version.
You must state clearly how you entered these addresses.
Older versions of Outlook add the country by default.
No versions change the address for no reason or by itself.

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP1 11.6359.6408
I'm entering the address in the address field of the contact box which is in
the bottom left corner. I select "Home" with the down arrow, then enter the
address as

5367 N. David Ct.
Modesto, CA
94506

After closing outlook, and restarting my computer, I open the same contact
to see the address now reads...

Modesto, CA 94506
United States Of America

How do I correct Outlook from removing the street address, and adding United
States Of America?

What country do you have your "Location" set to under "Regional and Language
Settings"? Do you have it set to "United States"?

Try parsing the Address correctly instead of using the address field.

Click on the button next to it to expose the individual address elements.
Was this a clean install of Outlook or an upgrade?

I get it now, you can actually click on it to open up another filed to fill
in! Thanks!
As foir the install, it was a fresh install after I installed my operating
system.

That's very strange because I've not seen a clean install of Outlook 2003
add the country automatically to the address fields. Earlier versions did.
