Why Does Re_Protecting a doc. Erase Fields?

If I unprotect a document to delete a section and then re-
protect it, all of the info. typed in the fields above
where I deleted is erased (i.e., the form fields are
reset).

How do I stop this from happening?

The NoReset part of the macro accomplishes this. You can adapt that for a
macro of your own.
